What to do right now.
Before you call anyone. Three steps that protect your safety and your insurance claim.
Don't touch anything near wires
If the tree or any branch is touching, near, or under a power line - do not touch the tree, the line, or anything in contact with either. Call 911 first. Then call your utility company. Energized lines kill.
Document before any cleanup
Take 10-15 photos of the tree, the point of contact with your structure, and any visible damage before anyone moves anything. Your insurance adjuster will need this. The timestamp on your phone photos is your proof of the storm event.
Call us, then your insurance
We provide written estimates and itemized invoices formatted for insurance adjusters. Most storm-related tree removal on a covered structure is an insured loss. You don't pay out of pocket until your deductible. Call us first so we can scope and document alongside you.
Most storm work
is insurance-paid.
When a tree falls on your house, fence, or garage during a storm, your homeowner's policy almost always covers the removal cost - minus your deductible. You don't pay the full bill out of pocket.
We've worked with every major Tennessee insurer. We provide:
- Written estimate with itemized line items
- Before-and-after photo documentation
- Invoice formatted for adjuster review
- Direct communication with your adjuster if needed

What homeowners ask at 2am.
How fast can you respond to a fallen tree?
We target 60 minutes for active hazards - tree on a structure, blocking a road, or downed power line adjacent. For non-structural storm cleanup we typically respond same-day. Call first; our dispatcher will give you an honest ETA based on current crew locations.
Does homeowner's insurance cover emergency tree removal?
Most homeowner's policies cover removal of trees that fall on a covered structure (house, fence, garage) due to a covered peril like wind or lightning. They typically do NOT cover removal of a tree that fell in your yard without hitting a structure. We provide written estimates and itemized invoices formatted for insurance adjusters.
Should I try to cut the tree myself while waiting?
No. A tree on a roof or structure has unpredictable tension lines. Cutting without understanding load direction can cause the tree to kick back, collapse further, or damage additional structure. Leave it alone, document it with photos for your insurance claim, and call us.
What if the downed tree is touching a power line?
Do not touch the tree, the line, or anything in contact with the line. Call 911 first, then your utility company (Nashville Electric Service: 615-736-6900, or your local utility). We do not cut trees in contact with live power lines - we work behind the utility company clearance. This is the industry-safe standard.
Do you work at night for storm emergencies?
Yes. Active structural hazards - trees on houses, trees blocking emergency vehicle access - we respond 24 hours. We use work lights for night operations. Safety for our crew and your property is the constraint, not the clock.
